In this film, Howard Beale was angry at the state of the television industry, with them, the employees, being pawned back and forth at the cost of conglomerate dealings and shock-value programming designed to boost ratings. But doesn't that sound like a microcosm of the world?

Ironically, the day after this clip was posted, director of Network, Sidney Lumet, died in New York.
