review: Vanishing Spaces

‘Vanishing Spaces’ presented a series of six short films from Syria and Palestine at the London Shubbak Festival late last month. Common themes included changing places, shifting populations, memories and how people identify with them. Organized by programmers of Arab film in London, Zenith Foundation, the series was made up of old and new experimental explorations of political and industrial effect on place.
